' I have found that books can carry children to another location.' Judith has been offering as a bedside reader at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust given that 2003. After retiring from teaching, Judith wanted to continue to use her storytelling abilities to help children who are improperly. 'I had actually always taken pleasure in checking out to the kids in school at the end of the day. You might see them visibly unwind and be taken in by the story. I believed this may also use to kids in health center. I offer on the kids's oncology wards in the health center. I have experienced the distraction reading a story can do to support the staff. The children are little heroes. To witness their nerve is an advantage.' Thank you for your empathy and care Judith. Mark joined the NHS in his 30s after leaving his family's organization with no official credentials, but a drive to make a distinction. ' I attempted to turn off a bedside lamp and seemed like something wasn't best with me. I understood directly away it was a stroke.' In July 2023, after an active vacation kayaking and walking, Bob unexpectedly had a stroke. He was zipped air ambulance to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, where he invested four weeks rehabilitating. 'I used the fitness center often and did neurorehabilitation online (NROL)'. NROL is a group rehabilitation programme for people who have actually had a stroke or have other neurological conditions. 'I had a structured schedule which offered me something to eagerly anticipate each week - socially, mentally and mentally.' Bob thanked NHS staff for 'the wonderful support' and the ongoing physiotherapy he got. Well done Bob and excellent work group! Early acknowledgment of stroke symptoms can conserve lives. ' Working along with nurses and seeing the difference they made inspired me to believe, 'I might do that!" Meet Sharon, a sexual health nurse and non-medical prescriber who started her nursing journey in 1985 at the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital. In 2010 she joined Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust and continues to serve patients in Hertfordshire. 'I loved helping individuals and discovering about the body, so nursing simply felt right.' Sharon reflects. Sharon has worked in male infertility, menopause, miscarriage and colposcopy to name a few, showing the vast array of areas in which nurses make a difference. 'Truly, I can't think of a location where nurses do not make an impact in some form,' Sharon confesses. On why her role is special, Sharon explains, 'The care, kindness, and empathy we bring make the nursing function distinct. As client advocates, we help ensure their journey is supported, notified, and really significant.' There are more than 50 various kinds of nursing roles available in the NHS.
